Who can apply?

UniTrento students enrolled in the second year of the bachelor's degree courses in:
  • Sociology - Sociology and Social Sciences course
  • International Studies - Political path and International Organizations

for mobility during the third year of graduation 

UniTrento students enrolled in the first year of the Master's degree courses in:

  • Organizzazione, Società  e Tecnologia 
  • Sociology and Social Research

with knowledge of the German language at B2 level

These requirements will be assessed when applying for the UniTrento call which is published annually.

Why KU-Eichstätt?

What is the added value?

In Italy and abroad, a double degree is always an added value. Not only the experts say it, you just have to browse through the job offers to realize that companies and organizations are looking for international and open-minded profiles, able to work in multicultural teams and to face ever new global challenges: these are the workers of the future.

What are the requirements at the time of departure?

  • if at Bachelor's level: have achieved at least 120 ECTS and have a weighted average of marks of at least 25/30
  • if at Master's level: have achieved at least  45 ECTS and have a weighted average of marks of at least 25/30

The requirements listed above will be checked before departure, approximately between August and early September.

How long does mobility abroad take?

2 semesters (60 credits) from October.

Study plan

The study plan must be agreed and approved in advance by both academic supervisors.

In which language?

Most of the activities are in German.

How does the conversion of grades take place?

The conversion takes place on the basis of the conversion table available in the downloads.

Thesis

The thesis can be worked out and discussed either at UniTrento or at Eichstätt under the supervision of one professor from each university.

Tuition fees

Students participating in the double degree program pay the tuition fees exclusively at UniTrento.
KU requires the compulsory contribution for complementary services (which includes concessions for public transport) of approx. 56 euros / semester.

Educational qualification

At the end of the double degree course, students obtain two separate diplomas of 1st or 2nd cycle:
- from KU-Eichstätt: Interdisciplinar Bachelor's degree in Sociology or in Politik und Gesellschaft, Profil Welt und Europa
or Interdisciplinary Master's degree, with Major in Sociology
- from UniTrento:  Laurea in Sociologia or in Studi Internazionali;
or Laurea Magistrale in “Sociology and Social Research” - LM88 or in “Organizzazione, Società e Tecnologia (OST) - LM88
