International opportunities for students

Who can apply?

UniTrento students enrolled in the second year of the Bachelor's degree course in:
  • Modern Languages (Enterprises and turism track)

with knowledge of the French language at B1 level

These requirements will be assessed when applying for the UniTrento call which is published annually.

Why UFC?

The Université de Franche-Comté (UFC), created in Dole in 1423, was moved to Besançon in 1691 by decision of King Louis XIV.
The Faculty of Arts was the only one at that time. It was only in 1845 that the university developed with the creation of the Faculty of Sciences, currently called Unité de Formation et Recherce (UFR) en Science du Language, de l'Homme et de la Société (SLHS) within which it is offered the License en Langues Etrangères Appliquées (LEA). The UFR counts over 4,300 students.

What is the added value?

In Italy and abroad, a double degree is always an added value. Not only the experts say it, you just have to browse through the job offers to realize that companies and organizations are looking for international and open-minded profiles, able to work in multicultural teams and to face ever new global challenges: these are the workers of the future.

What are the professional outlets?

There are numerous professional sectors: from marketing to commercial communication, from translation to interpreting, from banks to insurance companies and companies, from communication to the media, from the tourism sector (hotels, travel agencies, services to the public) to the logistics and transport.

What are the requirements at the time of departure?

  • have achieved at least 90 ECTS and have a weighted average of marks of at least 24/30
  • French language level B2 (pass the exam 130330 -  Lingua Francese II by July).

The requirements listed above will be checked before departure, approximately between August and early September.

How long does mobility abroad take?

2 semesters (60 crediti) from October.

Study plan

The study plan must be agreed and approved in advance by both academic supervisors.
Arrange any exams to be anticipated to the first year at UniTrento with the academic referent professor (eg: Thesis seminar or other credits).

In which language?

All the activities are in French.

How does the conversion of grades take place?

The conversion takes place on the basis of the conversion table available in the downloads.

Thesis

The thesis work must be discussed at UniTrento under the supervision of professors from both institutions.

Tuition fees

Students participating in the double degree program pay the tuition fees exclusively at UniTrento

Educational qualification

Al the end of the double degree course, students obtain two separate 1st cycle degree diplomas::
- from UFC: Licence en Langues Etrangères Appliquées
- from UniTrento:  Laurea in Lingue Moderne
