International opportunities for students

Who can apply?

UniTrento students enrolled in the 1st year Master's Degree in:

  • International Management (LM 77) with at least 42 ECTS earned
  • have obtained an internationally approved English language qualification at level C1. See the box More for the most up-to-date language requirements, certificates, and minimum scores

These requirements will be assessed when applying for the specific UniTrento call which is published annually in autumn.

Why the University of Twente?

According to lifehack.org, UT belongs to the best 25 universities in Europe and, for the fourth time,  it has been crowned the most entrepreneurial university in the Netherlands.
It is a founding member of the European consortium of innovative universities and has strong ties with universities in Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Australia, China, Indonesia, India, and other countries.
UT is the only all-in campus in The Netherlands. You can use an internet connection of 1 gigabit per second and a campus-wide wifi network.

What is the added value?

Participation in the Double Degree program allows you to diversify and enrich your university education, acquire different study methods and achieve high skills in languages.

What are the requirements at the time of departure?

  • Language requirements in English at University of Twente to be obtained by the applications' deadline (Spring) are available at the following webpage: Language requirements
  • have earned at least 24/30 ECTS 

This requirement will be checked by the application's deadline set by the Host University, approximately in Spring.
Additional language tests or documentation might be required by UT.

How long does mobility abroad take?

2 semesters (60 credits) from September.

Study plan

It is possible to choose between two tracks: International Management & Consultancy or Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management & Strategy track.

Check with the double degree academic reference if there are any exams or seminars that should be anticipated on the first year. 
The study plan must be agreed and approved in advance by both academic supervisors. 

In which language?

The activities are in English.

Thesis

The final thesis shall be co-supervised by an academic tutor of both institutions and written and defended either at UniTrento or at the UT.   

Tuition fees

Students participating in the double degree program pay the tuition fees both at UniTrento and at UT.
The amount of the tuition fees changes according to the student's nationality (EU/EEA or non-EU). For details see the box download.
All students, despite their nationality, can apply for a scholarship awarded by the Dutch Government.
All UniTrento selected students will be awarded a UniTrento scholarship.

Educational qualification

At the end of the double degree Program, students obtain two separate second cycle degree diplomas:
- from UT: one-year Master of Science in Business Administration, Faculty of Behavioural, Management and Social sciences 
- from UniTrento:  two-years Laurea magistrale in International Management
