GE4 - Global Education: Exchanges for Engineers and Entrepreneurs

What is GE4?

GE4 is an international network of more than 30 universities and UniTrento is the only Italian university. Among its activities, the GE4 network fosters student mobility to provide new graduates with multicultural team skills.

Beneficiaries 

Students enrolled in a Master's degree programme in Engineering. The requirements may vary depending on the university. The admission and selection requirements are specified in the selection call.

Where

One of the programme partner universities in Latina America or Asia

Duration 

The duration of the mobility is one semester.

How to Apply

If you want to participate in a mobility period, you must submit your application for the annual mobility scholarship selection that is published in relation to the Bilateral Agreements Call on the Open selection calls page. See the international programmes calendar for information about publication of the calls. 
Final acceptance depends on the chosen host university. Places available may vary according to the partner universities' availability within the two programmes:

Financing

Mobility is exempted from tuition fees at the Host University and students only pay tuition to their Home University. The study grant is intended as a contribution to your travel and living expenses abroad and will be paid only for physical mobility in a single instalment at the beginning of each semester. The grant amounts are subject to taxation and vary in accordance with your ISEE range. For the 2024-2025 academic year the grant amounts will be as indicated below:

T.I.M.E. Top International Managers in Engineering

T.I.M.E. is an international network of 57 leading Engineering Schools and Faculties and Technical Universities which promotes academic excellence and Double Degree programmes in engineering through a system of voluntary bilateral agreements between its members.
The T.I.M.E. Double Degree foresees an extension by one year of the standard duration of the degree.

    *The mobility can take place also during the bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Industrial Engineering. In that case, students have then to enrol in the master's degree at UniTrento and will obtain the double degree only after completion of the master's degree.

 ECIU - The European Consortium of Innovative Universities

 

What is ECIU?

ECIU is an international network that brings together various European universities and a non-European partner with a strong focus on innovation and entrepreneurship.

Below you will find the main mobility opportunities offered by the network.

Exchange

As part of the Erasmus + program, you will be able to spend a mobility period at network partners for both study and internship activities.

Challenges and micro-modules

 You will be able to join interdisciplinary and international ECIU teams to solve real challenges presented by partner companies and organizations from all over Europe.
A unique opportunity to tackle local, national and global issues according to a challenge-based approach to solving problems.
In the ECIU challenges you will work side by side with professors, other students from various European countries, experts, entrepreneurs and institutional representatives.
The courses organized in micro-modules will help you acquire the skills you need to solve the challenge.

Minor Programs

If you are a student enrolled in one of the following Mechatronics Engineering and Materials and Production Engineering or Computer Science Master's degree courses, ECIU offers you the opportunity for more structured mobility with network partners that provide pre-determined packages of courses which have already been approved.
