What is Erasmus+ Study programme?
The Erasmus+ Programme allows students of UniTrento to spend a study period abroad (course attendance, thesis research/PhD, traineeship combined with study activities) in a partner university in a country member of the Programme (Key Action 1 - Individual Mobility within Programme Countries).
Erasmus+ Indire National Agency acts as a bridge for the European Commission.

UniTrento manages the mobilities to UK outside the Erasmus+ Programme
It is not allowed to choose country of residence or its diplomatic representations as a destination.
Duration
The Erasmus+ Study Program duration is 2 to 12 months. Anyway, the duration of the mobility depends on the destination country and it is determined by the Selection Call of UniTrento, as well as the mobility period. The same student can spend multiple periods of Erasmus+ mobility within each cycle of studies (undergraduate, master, doctorate) up to 12 months (24 months for five-year master's courses).
How to apply
To participate in the mobility it is necessary to participate in the yearly Selection Calls (see Active Selection call page) published generally during Autumn for mobility starting from following September.
Scholarships
UniTrento offers scholarships differentiated by Country destination and family income.
Group 1 (high life cost): Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Sweden, Lichtenstein, Norway.
Group 2 (medium life cost): Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain.
Group 3 (low life cost): Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Republic of North Macedonia, Turkey, Serbia.
Switzerland self-finances incoming study periods. UniTrento cofunds Swiss grant (around € 350/mounth) up to amounts indicated below.
The scholarship is intended as a contribution to the expenses related to travel and stay abroad and will be paid only in case of physical mobility.
The grant is paid in two instalments at the beginning of mobility (70%) and at the end (the rest).

If you are a PhD student, you are not eligible for financial support based on economic conditions and the monthly amount of the scholarship corresponds to the first category (ISEE range > 30.001).
For mobilities to Erasmus+ Programme Countries (excluding Switzerland), an additional financial contribution - 250€/month (European funds) - is provided for students with particular needs or those who have access to fewer opportunities who declare to belong to one of the following categories.
- Students with medically certified physical, mental or other health conditions;
- Students from a migrant background and refugees;
- Students with minor children;
- Student workers;
- Students who are Professional Athletes;
- Students who are orphans of at least one parent;
- Students who are children of victims of terrorism and organized crime
The financial support cannot be combined. If you belong to more than one of the abovementioned categories, the University will provide the most advantageous contribution for you (e.g. if you are a student with a minor child and an ISEE value of ≤ € 20,000.99, you will receive 400€/month).
The students that don't have to provide the ISEE value at UniTrento are evened out as beneficiaries with an ISEE value ≤ € 20,000.
Students who opt for sustainable means of transport to reach the country of destination (e.g. by train) might receive a single contribution of 50 EUR and up to 4 days of travel will be recognized in addition to traineeship grant.
