Be aware that in order to sign a private accommodation contract you will be asked for your Italian "codice fiscale" (i.e tax code). Please ask for it to the International Mobility Office if you need it before your arrival. Since proof of accommodation is required for the stay permit application, if you are staying in a private accommodation, be aware that the owner has 1 month (after the beginning of the contract) to register the housing contract at the Agenzia delle Entrate.
