International opportunities for students

The Selection Committee for the Joint programme in Physics (UNITN-SISSA) is composed by two members of the faculty of  the Department of Physics of the University of Trento and at least one member of the faculty of SISSA.

The Selection Committee will shortlist the eligible applicants who will then have access to the admission tests, taking into account the following criteria:

  • coherence between applicant’s previous studies and the academic objectives of the Joint Master’s degree programme in Physics  (assigning up to 12 points);
  • academic curriculum (assigning up to 12 points);
  • higher English knowledge (assigning up to 4 points);
  • statement of purpose and reference letters (assigning up to 12 points).

Applicants might be invited to interview (in person or via Skype), only if the Selection Committee requires to collect further information on applicants’ academic skills and personal competencies.

The applicants will be considered eligible and will have access to admission tests with a score of at least 20 out of 40 points.

The shortlist of the pre-selected EU applicants, who have access to the admission tests, will be published on this webpage.

Pre-selected applicants will be also notified via email and are strongly invited to confirm or deny their participation in the admission tests via email to master-st [at]
