The Joint programme in Physics (UNITN-SISSA) is offered jointly by the University of Trento (UNITN) with the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Trieste, combining the courses from Master’s degree programme in Theoretical and Computational Physics at the University of Trento with advanced courses offered by SISSA.

Over the years the Department of Physics at the University of Trento has earned an outstanding reputation for excellence in research, undergraduate education and postgraduate training. Our undergraduate and Master’s degree programmes offer a thorough coverage of the core areas of Modern Physics and a wide rage of those vibrant and internationally leading  research topics.

The International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in one of the leading scientific centres of excellence which acquires greater visibility on both the national and international academic scene. Scientific research activities carried out by SISSA cover three main research areas (Physics, Neuroscience and Mathematics) and researchers’ output is regularly published on leading international journals with a high impact factor.
