Who can apply?
Students enrolled in the 1st year of the Master's degree in Energy Engineering, jointly offered by UniTrento and the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (unibz) in:

Which are the admission requirements?
- have obtained all the credits of the first year of the master's degree
- B1 level in English language
- pass an exam of Spanish or Catalan Technical language before the end of the mobility.
How long does mobility abroad take?
at least 2 semesters (60 ECTS), starting from September.
The double master’s degree has a duration between 120 and 135 ECTS, with the exact amount varying on the basis of the individual study plan. A higher number of credits may be required in special circumstances and agreed with the student.
Study plan
In addition to the study plan that must be agreed with both tutors for a total of 60 credits (a template in the downloads), double degree students must pass an exam of Spanish or Catalan Technical language before the end of the mobility.
In which language?
The programme will be taught mainly in English. Exceptions, if any, are clearly indicated in the study plan in the downloads.
Thesis
- single work, written in English under the supervision of an academic tutor from both institutions;
- carried out at UPC except for exceptions assessed on a case-by-case basis;
- registration of the thesis at UPC according to the rules and deadlines of the host University;
- defense carried out in Spain or Italy. If defended at UPC, it is mandatory to subsequently register at UniTrento/unibz in the first available graduation session.
The total workload for the master's thesis corresponds to 30 ECTS at UPC and 15 ECTS at UniTrento/ unibz.
Tuition fees
Students participating in the double degree program pay the tuition fees exclusively at UniTrento or unibz according to which is the administrative seat.
