Duration
From 2 to 4 months for students, may be extended up to 6 months. From 2 to 6 months for post-graduate. For the possible scholarship, see the dedicated box.
Once started, the traineeship must not be interrrupted by any other activity. Traineeship working hours per week must be at least 32 hours. The maximum working hours during the internship depends on the local legislation which the host institution must adhere to.
Important note:
If you interrupt your traineeship without valid and documented reasons within the first 2 months, if you received a scholarship, you will have to return the grant already received. Not returning the scholarship will result in the impossibility to enrol in the following academic year or to graduate.
How to apply
You have to apply online using the:
- Apply for UniTrentoTraineeship abroad for students
- Apply for UniTrento Traineeship abroad for recently graduated students
Applications are accepted by the end of each month. The internship can start at the earliest 45 days after the end of the month when you submitted your application. (e.g. if you apply any time in July, you will be able to begin the internship not earlier than on 15 September). By the 15th day of the month following the application, the list of admitted/not admitted candidates will be published online (slight delays might occur during the month of January and August).
Within 5 days from the date of the online publication of the admitted candidates, you have to email the International Mobility staff to confirm your participation in the programme and acceptance of the scholarship.
Application requirements
General requirements
You can apply for only one destination.
In case of previous participation in the Erasmus+ programme (Programme Countries, Partner Countries/International Credit Mobility or Erasmus Mundus), the total number of months spent in the previous experience and those that you will spend for this traineeship experience cannot exceed 12 months per degree level (24 months for 5-year Master's course).
Candidates who have been admitted to another mobility for the same period (e.g. Bilateral Agreement) will be allowed to participate in only one of the mobilities and will have to withdraw from the other one.
Specific requirements and required documents
Check the Specific requirements at the Open Selections call webpage, depending if you are Student or recently graduated Student.
If you participate in a Double Degree programme, you can do your internship only if you have passed all the exams foreseen in the joint study plan and only in a different destination country than the one of your Double Degree. In addition, your motivation letter has to be approved by the academic tutors of both universities, who need to confirm that the internship is consistent with the Double Degree programme.
Further information
Within 15 days from the end of the internship, you have to submit the required paperwork to the International Mobility staff.
Only traineeships duly certified through a Traineeship Certificate will be recognised to undergraduate and master students in terms of CFU credits (recognition of credits in students's career is mandatory) .
You are entitled to attend a CLA course in the traineeship language or in the language of the destination country (CLA webpage). Any further course will be at your charge. For additional information about courses' timetables and registration, visit the CLA website.
If you got your Opera Universitaria accommodation through the International Mobility Office, please note that you will have to leave your accommodation at the time of departure for the internship abroad and that you will not be eligible for another one in the future.
