If after the selection process, if you are considered eligible to spend a period of study, research or internship abroad, before departure you are required to check if there are any restrictions on entry to the country of destination. This information is available in the Country Fact Sheets on the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Safe Travel website and on the webpages of the Italian Embassies and/or Consulates in the countries of interest.
Furthermore, you should carefully read and fully understand all regulations implemented by the host university, as well as recommendations issued by the World Health Organization regarding safe travel and behavior during the COVID emergency.
You must also be aware that a period of quarantine may be required by the host country and that sudden travel interruptions or cancellations are possible when returning to Italy. For this reason, it is strongly recommended to purchase a travel insurance policy that covers such travel inconveniences, in addition to health insurance that includes treatment and hospitalization due to a pandemic.
In the case of virtual mobility, a scholarship will not be provided as it is intended as a contribution to travel and the cost of living in a foreign country. The recognition of credits earned and academic activities carried out on-line will be guaranteed and at the same time it will be possible to attend courses offered by UniTrento. To participate remotely in on-line internships students must have prior approval of their academic tutor.
