International opportunities for students

MISS students have numerous opportunities to spend a study/research period abroad during the second semester of the second year, through various international exchange and Erasmus programmes.

Bilateral Agreements

A bilateral agreement is an agreement signed by two universities which choose to become partners to achieve common specific aims related to: student mobility, joint research activities, common activities such as the organization of seminars or conferences, etc. The University of Trento has bilateral agreements with partner universities from all over the world. Erasmus +

The Erasmus+ Programme allows professors and students of UniTrento to spend abroad in a partner university or another relevant organization in a country member of the Programme (Key Action 1 - Individual Mobility). A contribution for travel, room and board expenses is provided. Here you can check the list of SIS's partner university.

Thesis Research Abroad

The University of Trento offers to its students the opportunity to get additional funds in order to develop their thesis research abroad in Universities or institutes selected by the student in accordance with the UniTrento academic supervisor.

Traineeship Abroad

MISS students can also get a scholarship for a traineeship in worldwide institution and organizations.

Scholarships are different depending on the geographical area of the host institutions; students can complete their traineeships in European countries through the Erasmus + programme or they can do their traineeships in non European countries through university funds.

There is also the opportunity to get funds for post-graduation traineeships, given that the request must be submitted before the official graduation.

ECIU University Challenges and Micro-Modules

The University of Trento is member of an alliance of 14 universities united by a joint goal to make an impact working on solution of real-life challenges and foster change.
