International opportunities for students

The International Credit Mobility project coordinated by the University of Trento allows students and faculty funded mobility to and from 16 partner universities, located in 9 non-European Countries.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The 2017 Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility was approved for a total of EUR 362.600,00 and 87 mobility: 64 incoming and 23 outgoing. Students mobility accounted for 47 grants incoming only. Staff mobility was intended to be 17 incoming and 23 outgoing. The project ended on July 31st, 2019.

MOBILITY IMPLEMENTATION

UniTrento used the 93% of the project funds, supporting 88 mobility:

44 STUDENT MOBILITY; study and research activity for a duration of 5 months for course attendance and 3/5 months for thesis research (both thesis research and PhD), depending on the project agreed with the tutors:

44 INCOMING (23 BA, 13 MA and 8 PhD)

 

44 STAFF MOBILITY, both for academic and administrative staff for a duration of 10 days:

18 INCOMING (11 ACADEMIC STAFF AND 7 ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF)

26 OUTGOING (24 ACADEMIC STAFF AND 2 ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF)

EVENTS AND DISSEMINATION

In the framework go the ER+ ICM, the University of Trento organised a staff training week (more information on the event website and in the staff training events webpage) where grantees were offered seminars, workshop sessions and events to foster cooperation and exchange best practices. 

The fruitful cooperation between the partner universities and UniTrento resulted in the events carried out at the Nagasaki University (Japan), and University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (Vietnam), where both incoming and outgoing staff and students experiences were shared.

Thanks to the cooperation initiated in the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility, UniTrento and several partner universities presented the new Erasmus+ KA2 Capacity Building for Higher Education project: Curriculum Development in Cyber Physical Systems for implementing Industry 4.0 in Textile Industry, among them, the Hanoi University of Science and Technology (Vietnam) and the Ho Chi Minh University of Technology and Education (Vietnam).

The ER+ experience enabled UniTrento together with Carthage University, the Université de Tunis El Manar and the University of Sousse, Tunisia to start the Big Data Processing and Analysis (BigPro) cooperation. The project involves PhDs mobility opportunities from Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco, in order to let them to acquire advanced skills in the elaboration and analysis of "big data."
