05.03.2022 - Festivities around the world - last meeting of the semester

This time we discussed about festivities and holidays. We exchanged traditions and rituals in different parts of the world, from the Italian "Pasquetta" to the Ataturk Day in Turkey! Afterwards, the discussion led us to exchange tips about what to do in our free time - on the different holidays, for example - in Trento and Trentino. 

26.02.2022 - Traveling around Trentino Alto-Adige: tips and tricks

In this meeting we had the chance to exchange different tips and tricks on how to travel in Trentino. We discussed different means of transportation, how to get the student mobility card and how to use it, and finally some must-see places of the region!

19.02.2022 - Trentino outdoor + treasure hunt

Today the participants engaged in a thrilling scavenger hunt taking place in the digital sphere, where they got the chance to both learn a bit about Trentino and its history, geography and peculiarities, and to have fun in the meantime!
Afterwards, the participants discussed with the hosts about different possible activities to carry out in Trentino and gathered some advice to fully enjoy their stay here.

12.02.2022 - Trentino

Today's topic was centered on Trentino and on all the amazing outdoor activities it offers. After a brief moment of icebreaking with an online game, we discussed of some amazing places in Trentino, from Lake Garda to Trauttmansdorff Castle. Here there is something for everyone: swimming, sunbathing, hiking, skiing, snowboarding and even paragliding for the bravest ones

05.02.2022 - Teach us something about your country!

The first meeting of the Winter semester could not have been better! More than 20 students connected and interacted with each other: firstly, through speed dating that worked both as an ice-breaker and platform to get to know each other, then with a very interesting discussion about our countries: we got to learn about eating habits in Thailand, the weather in India and what to do in Trento! The coutries represented were: Finland, Germany, India, Mexico, Thailand, Ukraine, Vietnam, Russia.

23.10 - Share something of yours

We talked about some of our favourite hobbies, from music (with an unexpected Ukulele stand-off) to books and outdoor activities! We shared information about fears, hopes, expectations, academic field of interest, town, favourite places and much more!

16.10 - Street Food - Erasmus Days

First, a little game was played to let the participants loosen up and enter in the mood. Afterwards, we began a discussion about the most typical street foods from the different countries the participants were from. Finally, some advice was given to the participants regarding the street food that can be found in Trento - from mulled wine to chestnuts! 
This meeting was organized to celebrate the #Erasmusdays

08.10 - Welcome drink

After enjoying the video about Trentino and the Dolomites and some highlights about UniTrento and some online initiatives (tutorials on some administrative aspects, language coursesfunny videos on the most common stereotypes about Italians, Course on Italian Culture, and some hints for unforgettable weekends, we had some funny speed dates so as to better know each other. After the ice was broken, you answered two quizzes about Italy and general culture and you did very well indeed! 3 of you won some prizes. If you want to be contacted by your peers for a tennis match or just for a real aperitif, do not forget to add your profile on our padlet !

02.10 - Popcorn for breakfast, let's talk about movies

This time the chosen topic of discussion was cinema and films. After a very quick game of Pictionary to break the ice, we moved on to the discussion. Following a number of questions, such as "what was your childhood favourite film?" or "what is the last movie you saw", we participated in a lively discussion about different aspects of cinema.
Finally, the participants received some information about the calendar of events and movies (also in the original language) performed at the cinemas in Trento and in Rovereto.

25.09 - Problem Solving

This Saturday we went and looked into a very interesting topic that is not particularly well known: nudging as part of alternative solution methods. After an icebreaker, consisting in speed dating between the participants, a short explanation on what nudging consists of was given. Then, the participants had the chance to put into practice the newly-learned skills through a couple of exercises where they were required to convince the others through nudging techniques - and we have to say, they were all quite successful!

18.09 - Trentino Outdoor

For our 3rd meeting, 28 students from all around the globe talked about the best outdoor activities to practice in Trentino-Alto Adige and where to practice their favourite ones. After a little chat, we made 5 teams and challenged ourselves in the Trentino Outdoor Treasure Hunt
Five different points of interest and quizzes to win eternal glory (and some exclusive erasmus+ gadgets of course).

After a tense challenge Team 1 was able to win by a mere margin of a few seconds and gained the title of the first SCL winning team!

11.09 - Be a teacher for 5 minutes

Based on your feedback on our first meeting, we organized 6 different breakout rooms to discuss our weekly topic and talked about our cities, countries and favourite places, compared different foods and habits. You were 28 (China, Iran, India, Africa, just to mention some), so we did not get bored at all and we all learned a lot! Indeed we acknowledge a number of very interesting discussions: we learned how to navigate our way through Dresden and Hamburg, what is the difference between Turkish and Iranian cuisine, how are called and what are the historical differences between the different regions in Romania and much more!

04.09 - Canederli Bites -  Best events in Trento and Rovereto

We had our first meeting of Saturday Chat Live season 3 and it was a blast: nearly 80 students from around the globe joined. We discussed about what the Saturday Chat Live Community will be for students and how it will help them enjoy their stay at our wonderful University and talked about some of the most interesting events in Trento and Rovereto in September and October 2021.
