Selection process
The selection consists of two phases:
- Assessment of qualifications;
- Interview.
Applicants will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
- Curriculum studiorum (up to 55 points out of 100). This profile is based on the academic record of the applicant in his/her previous academic education (i.e. Grade Point Average and class qualification, educational background, Language certifications if the level is higher than the minimum admission requirement) extra-academic experiences if any, coherence with the MSc learning objectives;
- Statement of purpose (up to 5 points out of 100); description of the personal goals and expectations with regards to the master's learning objectives;
- Interview (up to 40 points out of 100). Through the interview you will be offered the opportunity to explain the reasons behind your decision to undertake this course of study, and explain what your previous studies were. You will be invited to briefly describe some basic concepts or principles of physics that have relevance to meteorology; in some case, the committee may ask the candidate to explain how he/she would solve some simple math, physics, or logic problems. The interview takes place in English so as to also test the command of the language.
Candidates scoring at least 50 points will be declared eligible for the programme and ranked accordingly.
In case of candidates having the same score, priority will be given to the youngest applicant.
