This course will focus on two different issues. Firstly, the concrete managerial tasks, processes, and challenges in connection with the management of innovation thereby adopting a micro-perspective on the management of innovation. Secondly, the course will challenge the rational and analytical management models thereby supplementing the rational approach to innovation management. The course will include topics such as innovation management processes, knowledge management, organizational learning, types of innovation and strategic management of innovation. Each of these topics will shed light on the different aspects of and challenges in managing innovation.
