Application deadlines 
  • From 19 December  2023 until 29 February 2024, 12.00 noon (CET) for non-EU citizens living abroad and Italian, EU-citizens and non-EU citizens regularly living in Italy at the time of application;
  • From 15 April 2024 until 28 June 2024, 12.00 noon (CET) only for Italian citizens, EU-citizens and non-EU citizens regularly living in Italy at the time of application.

Venue Lectures of the first year  will be held at the University of Trento (Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering); lectures of the first semester-second year will be held at the University of Innsbruck (Institute of Atmospheric and Cryospheric Sciences ACINN).
All classes are offered onsite. Attendance of classes at the University of Innsbruck is mandatory.
The fourth semester, devoted to the master thesis, can be attended at either Trento or at Innsbruck.
Total n° of available positions (a.y. 2024/25) for admission to the first year 30 positions, up to 5 of which are reserved to non-EU citizens living abroad (NB: non-EU citizens living abroad may apply only within the first session)
Number of scholarship available for non-Eu citizens living abroad for a.y. 2024/25: 1
Award of the scholarship for non-EU citizens living abroad is notified in the ranking list, there is not a separate application.
Tuition fees for non-EU citizens living abroad

The maximum tuition fees for non-EU citizens living abroad is €4.500 per academic year for the first year and maximum €6.000 for the second year. Further details are available at the webpage Tuition fees. The amount of fees for the first year can be waived or reduced on the basis of the selection score.
The amount of fees for the second year can be waived or reduced on the basis of the amount of credits obtained during the first year.
Non-EU citizens living abroad are automatically evaluated also for tuition fee waiver and/or scholarship award, there is not a separate application.

Tuition fees for EU-citizens and non-EU citizens currently living in Italy The amount of tuition fees for admitted students is available at the webpage Tuition fees. The amount can be partially or totally reduced according to the economic situation of the student's family (ISEE).
Minimum requirements for admission A three-year first-level degree (Bachelor or similar). Candidates must have have passed exams in the academic disciplines of Mathematics and Statistics, Theoretical Physics, Applied Physics and Geophysics and Chemistry as specified in the Call. Candidates must also provide proof of English language proficiency at level B2 (Common European Framework of Reference). For more detailed information see here.

Accommodation In Trento: in the University halls of residence (if available) or in the private market.
In Innsbruck: in the private market. Students are encouraged to start looking for an accommodation in Innsbruck at the beginning of the summer before the start of the semester (June/early July).
